MOJO STITCHES WINTER CHART

The fourth in Mojo Stitches 'A Stitch for All Seasons' series, this design takes simple Winter motifs of snowflakes and mittens and easy borders to create a sweet focus for your seasonal display, or for a quick gift.  Stitched in a beautiful, Winter-themed Stitcher's Palette from Cottage Garden Threads, these colours are perfect to use in your other Winter-themed stitches.  I've included som tips for stitching with them effectively - and I hope you enjoy creating your own, unique piece with these special flosses.

This design has a stitch count of 77w x 109h and uses full crosses over 2, Smyrna Stitches & some backstitches. In my model, I used 2 strands of floss over 2 threads of linen. It is suitable for beginners to advanced stitchers, and can be stitched on linen, aida or evenweave of any count that you prefer.

Model stitched on 32-count 'Soft Ivory' by Zweigart. I've framed it in a standard 6x8-inch frame. For a more antique look, try using 1 strand and/or stitching on a higher count fabric. If you do stitch it on a higher count, you could finish it into a small pillow for a dough-bowl display or as a pincushion.
